He is mainly engaged in academic studies in the fields of Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Cognitive Science, Philosophy of Information and Philosophy of Probability.

Dr. Mehmet Hilmi DEMİR received his Ph.D. in philosophy and cognitive sciences from Indiana University, Bloomington. His interdisciplinary works have been published in the Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Mind, Logique et Analyze, Journal of Logic Language and Information, Beytülhikme and Kilikya Philosophy Journals. In addition to his academic studies, he volunteered in social projects to support disadvantaged groups in Turkey. Previously, he was a faculty member at California State University (San Bernardino), Bilkent University and METU Philosophy Departments. Before starting his academic career, he worked as a researcher in the market research sector and developed research models on brand loyalty and consumer satisfaction measurement.
