Dr. Hatice İpek Keskin from our department participated as a discussant in the workshop titled '...How Will the Law Respond to Artificial Womb Technology?', hosted by Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University and supported under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program. The program brought together experts from various disciplines—including medicine, biotechnology, and law—to discuss the ethical dimensions and potential legal issues arising from artificial womb technology in the future.

The symposium held on April 30, 2024, in collaboration with Istanbul University, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and the Erich-Frank Society, focused on the medical, ethical, and social aspects of aging. The event gathered international scholars and students, showcasing distinguished research papers. Dr. Hatice İpek Keskin represented our department with her presentation, 'The Existential Ground of Palliative Care: A Discussion on Faith, Vulnerability, and the Limits of Suffering.'

Our research assistant Hatice KESKİN participated in the 15th World Congress of Bioethics which was held by International Association of Bioethics (iab) with two presentations.

Solidarity and Autonomy conflicts were the main topic of the congress this year. Due to the pandemia the topics were discussed on a global scale from ethical, sociological, managerial and legal perpectives on online meetings.
