The 1st International Philosophical Counseling Congress, organized by the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ) Department of Philosophy and the Philosophical Counseling Association, was held on October 3, 2025, featuring a wide range of national and international scholars. The congress commenced with opening remarks from Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, Department Head Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çevik, and Congress President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nesim Doru, followed by simultaneous sessions exploring the theoretical, practical, and historical foundations of the field, from Stoic discipline and Islamic thought to Bergsonian identity and Husserlian phenomenology. A highlight of the event was a special session featuring pioneering figures Prof. Lou Marinoff, Dr. Elliot D. Cohen, and Dr. Luis de Miranda, providing a comprehensive, interdisciplinary platform that showcased the future potential and diverse perspectives of philosophical counseling.
